The COPC is our national pairs championship. Participants must be paid up members in good standing of the CBF. In addition, each player must have earned a club qualification OR must have participated in an event designated in the Conditions of Contest. Club qualifying games are held between September 1st and December 31st of each calendar year. Any player registered for a Championship Team event will automatically be qualified for the COPC.
The knockout stage (Finals) of all team events and the COPC will be played live in Toronto from April 14 to 20.

The Jim Donaldson Trophy is awarded to the winning pair plus a cash prize for the winning pair and the pair in 2nd place.
Jim Donaldson, a British Columbia player who tragically died of cancer in his forties, was a true sportsman, gracious opponent and fiercely ethical. In Allan Graves’ words “he was undoubtedly one of the top ten Canadian talents of all time.”
