CBF Annual General Meeting: SEPTEMBER 16

As announced previously, the Annual General Meeting previously held during the Canadian Championships, will henceforth be held online. allowing more people to attend and participate. We invite you to attend the 2025 AGM on Tuesday, September 16, at 7:30 PM ET on Zoom.
The agenda includes the approval of amendments to the By Laws, the presentation of the reviewed financial statements, and other business of primary importance for the CBF.

Canadian Teams at the 47th World Bridge Games

The 2025 World Bridge Championships take place in Herning, Denmark, from August 20 to August 31. This championship will include the Bermuda Bowl (Open Teams), Venice Cup (Women Teams), D’Orsi Senior Trophy (Senior Teams), and Wuhan Cup (MIxed Teams).

The Great Canadian Bidding Contest – September 2025 Problems

You can review the last set of problems in the June 2025 issue of Bridge Canada, along with the responses and comments from the panel of experts. five panelists tied with 49, for the top score for June: Keith Balcombe, Neil Kimelman, Paul Thurston, David Turner, and Edward Xu.

As the newly-elected President of the CBF, I am honoured and excited to announce and welcome our three new Directors at Large: Marc-André Fourcaudot, Ginger Grant, Mike Hargreaves. These new Directors will greatly assist our Board in accomplishing our goals.
We look forward to serving our members. Please check our Website regularly to find out more about what CBF has to offer. We welcome your suggestions.

Online Team League 2024-2025

We will once again play our Online Team League on BBO.
There will be 2 divisions if there are sufficient entries: Open and B (under 2,000 points as of Sept. 2024 ACBL report). Please join us for the 2024/25 seasion of the CBF Team League and read all about this frendly competition on the Online Team League page (under Events).
The registration deadline for the 2024-2025 season is September 30, 2024.
There will be a zoom training session on Monday, September 30 at 8:00 p.m. Est. to review team game strategy and BBO set-up for team games.
The Round Robin schedule begins the week of October 13 and runs until December 31, 2024. Playoffs will be scheduled for January/February 2025.
