The 18th World Youth Teams Championships have started: follow our Canadian teams

Canada has 3 teams at the World Youth Championships in Veldhoven, Netherlands July 31st to August 7th: Under 16, Under 21, Under 26. Please click on the following links to see the schedule and the results.
The CBF has a youth program and a Junior Fund to help cover some of the expenses of the participants in world championships. A special THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the Junior Fund to help support and encourage our young teams.

Team Fergani wins the Online Team League 2022-2023

Congratulations to the winning team of the Online Team Line 2022-2023 - Team Fergani: Kamel Fergani, Marc-André Fourcaudot, Sondra Blank, Nicolas L'écuyer, Zygmunt Marcinski, Michel Lorber, Judith Gartaganis, Nicholas Gartaganis.
The finalist team is Team Kujirai: Eiji Kujirai, Mark Caplan, Barbara Clinton, Vince Oddy, Fred Gitelman, David Lindop, Doug Baxter.

Next Canada Wide Game on BBO May 20 – Canceled today

Our next monthly Canada wide virtual BBO game will be held on Saturday May 20
- “CBF 499 Game” $5 for 20 Boards - 1:00pm EDT
- “CBF Open Game” $6 for 24 Boards - 1:15pm EDT
The monthly game is held on the Saturday of the 3rd weekend of the month, and in for CBF members only. Thank you for supporting Canadian Bridge and have fun!

2023 Hall of Fame Ceremony – May 11, 8:30pm

During our Canadian Bridge Championships in Niagara Falls, we will be holding the first Hall of Fame ceremony since the pandemic.
We will be inducting Jurek Czyzowicz and Dan Jacob.
We hope that those of you in Niagara Falls for the CBC & Regional will attend the Hall of Fame ceremony.
The ceremony will take place in the Elizabeth room with Master of Ceremonies Nader Hanna.

2023 Canadian Bridge Championships & Regional Tournament

The 2023 CBC will be held LIVE at Niagara Falls Falls Ontario, May 9-19 at the Crowne Plaza Fallsview.

The CBF is searching for a new Executive Assistant

The Canadian Bridge Federation (CBF) is a non-profit organization that promotes and protects the interests of Canadian bridge players. The CBF is seeking an Executive Assistant to perform a variety of administrative duties to support the CBF's Board of Directors.
The Executive Assistant manages the day-to-day office operations of the CBF and is the primary liaison person for the organization. Accordingly, the Executive Assistant handles communication with members and other organizations involved with bridge in Canada.

If you are from CBF Zones II (units 151, 152, 192 and 199) or Zone V (units 248, 390, 391, 392, 393, 573 and 575) and interested in serving on the CBF Board -- Please contact us at canbridge@rogers.com by September 30, 2022.
As a CBF Director you will help to organize championships, promote bridge in your Zone as well as the rest of Canada and help with other bridge initiatives. The term begins January 1, 2023 and runs for 3 years. An election will be held if there is more than one candidate in a Zone. Please contact us for more information.
