En 1950, Bruce Gowdy est devenu le ma\u00eetre \u00e0 vie #67 de l\u2019ACBL. L\u2019ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, Gowdy a remport\u00e9 sa victoire la plus impressionnante, le tournoi par \u00e9quipes Spingold Master Knockout, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge record de 19 ans! En 1964, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 deuxi\u00e8me dans le m\u00eame \u00e9v\u00e9nement.<\/p>\n

Sur le plan national, les r\u00e9ussites de Gowdy incluent cinq<\/em><\/strong> victoires cons\u00e9cutives au Championnat Canadien d\u2019\u00e9quipes, de 1949 \u00e0 1953!<\/p>\n

Gowdy a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le Canada trois fois aux Olympiades d\u2019\u00e9quipes mondiales (1960, 1972 et 1976), remportant une m\u00e9daille de bronze en 1972. Il a \u00e9galement remport\u00e9 une m\u00e9daille de bronze aux paires Mondiales Seniors en 2002.<\/p>\n

Ray Jotcham, partenaire et co\u00e9quipier de longue date, a d\u00e9crit Gowdy comme le \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9clarant le plus impeccable qu\u2019il ait jamais vu\u00a0\u00bb. D\u2019un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, se d\u00e9pr\u00e9ciant lui\u2013m\u00eame, Gowdy a d\u00e9crit ses ench\u00e8res dans le titre de son prochain livre qui n\u2019est pas encore publi\u00e9, \u00ab\u00a0GWBB\u00a0\u00bb comme dans Guess What Bruce Bid<\/em>!
