Alan Graves est n\u00e9 \u00e0 Vancouver, C.-B. en 1949. Il apprit \u00e0 jouer au bridge de ses parents \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 11 ans et est devenu ma\u00eetre \u00e0 vie \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 19 ans (\u00e0 cette \u00e9poque le plus jeune au Canada). Il est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 en \u00e9ducation, de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Simon Fraser en 1975.<\/p>\n

Il a remport\u00e9 cinq titres Nord-Am\u00e9ricains majeurs\u00a0: les \u00c9quipes Jacoby Open 2013 et\u00a02016), les \u00c9quipes Mitchell Board-A-Match (2015), les \u00c9quipes Truscott\/USPC Senior Swiss (2008), et les \u00c9quipes Keohane North American Swiss (1986). Il a aussi trois 2\u00e8me places (\u00c9quipes Reisinger Board-A-Match 1978, \u00c9quipes Spingold Master Knockout 2002, et \u00c9quipes Baze Senior Knockout 2009). Il a remport\u00e9 la s\u00e9lection de l\u2019\u00e9quipe Senior US en 2013 et en 2017. Repr\u00e9sentant les USA, il a remport\u00e9 la m\u00e9daille d’or en 2017 au Championnat mondial des \u00e9quipes s\u00e9nior (D\u2019Orsi\u00a0Trophy) et la m\u00e9daille d’argent en 2019 au Championnat mondial des \u00e9quipes mixtes, aux 43\u00e8 et 44\u00e8 Championnats mondiaux par \u00e9quipes respectivement.<\/p>\n

Graves a eu beaucoup de succ\u00e8s dans le Championnat canadien par \u00e9quipes (CNTC). En 17 tentatives, il a remport\u00e9 l’\u00e9preuve sept fois, il s\u2019est class\u00e9 2e \u00e0 deux reprises, et 3i\u00e8me\/4i\u00e8me quatre fois. Ses 7 victoires du CNTC le classe deuxi\u00e8me, d\u00e9pass\u00e9 uniquement par les huit victoires de George Mittelman.<\/p>\n

Allan a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le Canada sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale \u00e0 plusieurs reprises,\u00a0la premi\u00e8re \u00e0 l’\u00e2ge de 25 ans quand il s’est qualifi\u00e9 pour les World Open Pairs de 1974 \u00e0 Las Palmas.Il a remport\u00e9 une m\u00e9daille de bronze au World Open Knockout Teams (Coupe Rosenblum) en 1982. Il a aussi remport\u00e9 la m\u00e9daille d’or\u00a0des \u00e9quipes senior\u00a0(Troph\u00e9e D’Orsi),\u00a0repr\u00e9sentant les \u00c9tats-Unis au 43e Championnat mondial.<\/p>\n
