As the newly-elected President of the CBF, I am honoured and excited to announce and welcome our three new Directors at Large: Marc-André Fourcaudot, Ginger Grant, Mike Hargreaves. These new Directors will greatly assist our Board in accomplishing our goals.

2025 Canadian Championships – Toronto – Teams and Pairs

Now that the Canadian Championships round robin is over, after being played online in January and February 2025, the knockout stage and the COPC will be played in Toronto, April 10-20, 2025.
Location: Hart House (Debates Room), 7 Hart House Circle, Toronto.

2025 Canadian Hall of Fame Induction & Lifetime Achievement Award

The Hall of Fame committee has elected Gloria Bart and Joan Eaton as the 2025 inductees into the Canadian Bridge Hall of Fame. Gloria and Joan are top players who had an outstanding record of success for more than three decades, in Canada and at at the international level.

And the CBF Board of Directors have elected to award the CBF Lifetime Achievement Award to Neil Kimelman in recognition of his long and outstanding service to Canadian bridge and the CBF for over 45 years.

The induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame and the Lifetime Achievement Award will take place in Toronto, during the Canadian Championships, on Thursday April 17 at 7:00 pm. Continue reading for more information..

June 2025
The last few months have been a busy and productive time for our Board as we work on making positive changes. Our goal is to listen to our members, and to implement financially sound initiatives that will both help grow our membership, and help raise funds to benefit not only our International players, but our Canadian Clubs and Club players. 2025 Canadian Bridge Championships – Schedule and Information

February 2025 (update) The round robin stage of all team events at the 2025 Canadian Bridge Championships will be played online in January and February 2025.
The knockout stage (Finals) will be played live in Toronto from April 14 to 20. Location: Hart House (Debates Room), 7 Hart House Circle, Toronto.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!. As another year comes to an end, your CBF Board of Directors would like to wish you Happy Holidays and all the best for 2025! As part of our mission, the CBF Board of Directors have been busy working hard throughout the year to reengage our members, promote bridge in Canada and provide the competitive forum required to choose the best of the best to represent Canada on the world stage. It has been a challenge, but we are listening and will continue to work tirelessly to improve and evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of our members in the post-pandemic bridge world.
The Board intends to provide periodic updates to keep you informed of various items of interest to the members.
