Support Our Youth

Recognizing that the future of our game depends on attracting young players, more and more effort is being spent to introduce bridge at schools and attract young players to our great game. The CBF, through its Junior Program, plays a leading role in that effort.

Thorpe, Katie

Thorpe represented Canada twelve times in World Championship team events, winning a silver medal in the 2000 Women Teams Olympiad, and two bronze medals (1988 Women Teams Olympiad and 1989 Venice Cup).

Paul, Mary

Mary was the first woman to win the open Canadian National Teams Championship (CNTC), winning the first ever CNTC held in 1977. In addition, she won seven Canadian Women Teams Championships (CWTC) and two World Championship bronze medals representing Canada.
